home depot soil for growing weed

Home depot soil for growing weed

So, I've decided to start my first microgrow and I'm looking for some suggestions on soil and nutrients to buy from homedepot. I know everyone suggests fox farms or something similar but since this is my first grow and I'm completely inexperienced, I'd like to keep costs down in case I fuck up. So I would really appreciate any suggestions on what to get from the depot, or any experiences that you guys have growing with soil/ nutrients from the depot.

I'm growing some sensi star and I got the seeds out of some bud that I bought (another reason to keep the costs down). It'll be in a 20"x20"x24" height box with three CFL lights at like 26 watts a piece. Inside of the box is covered in mylar space blankets so its SUPER bright.

now i have not used them yet, but they look promising. big chart on the back listing all ingredients and in what proportions. plus they seem to be marketing themselves in "a certain way" it seems to me. for example, they’ve got the obligatory tomato and vegetable mix, and the tropical mix, but if you notice on the link, there’s a big bloom mix, a root zone/early mix (which has a recipe for compost tea on the back, and another that sounds just like those sound like the same 3 groups that every other company uses.

St.buds no organic nothing around where i live, hydro store? what’s a hydro store? i got SO lucky when the local feed store started carrying FF although i get a little bit of the heebie jeebies going in there right in the thick of people who hate me they just don’t know it. but we do have at least 2 hme depots and and 2 lowe’s. so i did some digging and home depot has started to carry these.
