Reddit growing weed indoors

My concern here is I live in Ontario and I am wondering how expensive could this can get with everything involved. I am only looking to have 2-3 plants and for personal use. I read some places that this will cost a lot of money and not worth it unless I really wanted to make this a hobby. I am at the point where I would want to make this a hobby but not if it is going to cost me a ton of money, where I am paying more then I would just to purchase it online. (Craft cannabis)

Just curious if diving into a 1000$ setup and then once I start producing cannabis is it still going to be $? Like over 250$ an ounce or am I just over thinking this. I know there are many variables with growing it, just curious if I am way in left field or this can be a pricey hobby.
