you can grow flowers or you can grow weeds

Every day is a new day to learn and enjoy your life. More often than not people turn to the wrong sources of mental stimulation. People like to have things instantly, so they won’t take the time to learn anything new. Instead of doing any research on topics, they simply plug information in a search engine and the results just pop off. Worse than that, there are some people that choose not to learn anything new at all. These people would rather pay attention to pop culture and negative tabloids.

All too often we go through this life and do not pay enough attention toward learning. You need to remember that your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds.

The second half of this quote refers to the information that you are feeding your mind. If you are planting positive information it will grow into flowers. These seeds are true information that you can use and apply to your life. The weeds, refers to the lower quality information that you plant. There are few minds that are blossoming off of pop culture as the main diet. Now that your brain is one of the most important organs in your body, and it needs exercise too. Remember this the next time that you are sitting around and looking for something to do. Instead of turning to your usual activities, why not try something new and educate yourself on something new.

You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds

The more we recognise our power to make conscious positive choices the more difference we can make to our own and other peoples lives. Doesn’t that sound like something you want to be part of?

I decided that I wouldn’t be a victim of the accident and that it wouldn’t screw up my life. This was challenging when everyone was feeling sorry for me and my future looked very dim.

And the best news is whatever your choices have been in the past (good or bad) doesn’t mean you need to make the same choices today or tomorrow.

So today, I am asking you to start challenging your current mindset and attitudes – be the 2% of the population who dive in and out of their comfort zone – take the brakes off and live with a growth mindset where you build, encourage, understand, contribute, reach out, compliment, create hope, take action and inspire others with your new way of approaching daily life.

What I learnt over this recovery time is the power of the human mind and a lot about resilience and attitude.

You see its simple – you and I own our life and when you discover how powerful you can be with your ability to make choices then you discover that the power within you is astonishing.

Our attitude or mindset influences the way we respond, influences our impact on others and influences our happiness levels.

Will you choose to make life work for you or choose to let life happen to you? Think about that – does life happen to you or do you make life work for you?

Your power to choose gives you the power to decide who you are each and every day and how you impact others everyday….
